WONDER DOG DAY MAY 12

Our 4th annual Wonder Dog Day will be held in front of the Jim Garden on May 12 from noon to 2 pm.  We are inviting people to “Bring your wonder dog to see our wonder dog”.  All events are free and people are welcome to attend with or without a dog. 

The opening event will be a hot dog eating contest sponsored by the Marshall Kiwanis Club.  See how many hot dogs and buns can be eaten in five minutes. 

Dog contests will start with the parade of precious pooches and handsome hounds.  During the parade, dogs will be judged for such special features as longest tail, curliest tail, big feet, smallest dog, largest dog, etc.

You can enter your dog in the following contests:  Registration starts at 11:30.

  Top Dog Model----Sponsored by Blumhorst Veterinary Hospital.

                            Dress up your dog in his or her best costume.

Jim Look Alike Contest---Sponsored by Marshall Veterinary                                                               Clinic

                            Does your dog look the most like Jim the Wonder Dog?

              Wonder Dog of the Year---Sponsored by Saline County                                                                    Veterinary    Service

                            Dogs will be judged on the best dog tricks.

              Wondrous Dogs---Sponsored by Saline County Veterinary Service

                            What makes your dog special?

Other events include face painting for children, photos with you dog and family, raffle drawings, Jim items for sale.  All dogs must be on a leash.
